Our 'city series' events focus on the connection to sisters by honouring and celebrating a woman in our community that personifies our vision and mission.
For this event, we will be hearing from Clemencia Gomez, Director of the South Granville Seniors Centre. She knows what it means to be isolated and vulnerable as she immigrated to Canada with a young daughter and found herself completely alone, without any knowledge of the English language. She saw a group of people in Vancouver that were vulnerable and overlooked, and has dedicated herself to providing a vibrant community for them. Hearing her resilience through this time and seeing the generosity she offers to those around her will leave a mark on you.
Clemencia inspires us to move forward with purpose and with people.
We will have snacks provided by KULA, and you&her product to view.
